Serving suggestionsThe wine should be served at a temperature of 16-18°C in a wide goblet. It accompanies well important starters, tasty red meat, game and poultry.General characteristicsIt has an intense ruby red colour with a fruity flavour . The aftertaste has a hint of liquerice. It´s an elegant, full-bodied wine.Grapes usedCarignano 100%.Methods of productionLocation: Carignano vines of Santadi, cultivated in the south of Sulcis.The soil is sandy and clayey. The weather is dry and hot in summer; temperate in winter. The harvesting takes place at the end of september and it lasts for about two weeks. Afterwards, the must is kept to ferment in steel containers for 12-14 days at a temperature of 25-28°C. The next job is to pour off the wine into wooden casks for 10-12 months, during which its bouquet refines completely before bottling. PreservationKeep the bottle horizontally in a dark and cool place at a temperature of 17°C ( humidity 75-80% ).
